As a native of South Florida, Chelsea has always been interested in health, wellness and forward thinking exercise. Chelsea found yoga while searching for incorporation of physical fitness and overall inner peace. Beginning her path with Bikram Yoga, she fell in love with the dedication and discipline it demanded. Expanding her practice to Vinyasa yoga, she found yoga to be an outlet for her own personal expression. She believes that the cultivation of a personal practice will not only deepen your practice on the mat, but will infiltrate every aspect of your life off the mat. Chelsea also feels equally as connected to the art of assisting others in their journey. She brings a wealth of yoga, massage, and wellness techniques to her practice. Chelsea received her RYT 200 hour certification from Yoga South and is excited to be a part of the beautiful studio at Yoga Path Palm Beach. As a nationally licensed massage therapist, Chelsea will also be offering massage by appointment on select days.

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."

I can't really say when I found first found yoga - it honestly feels more like yoga found me - and once it did, it held on tight and have yet to let go. I took my first class at a small smelly studio - with carpet! - and it was love at first sweat. That was more than 15 years ago but I didn't fully embrace a consistent and dedicated practice until about 7 years ago.

Today, yoga is not something I do, it's more who I am. It informs every facet of my life, lights me up from the inside out like a candle, and brings me to my knees exactly when I need it most. It has leveled me and turned my priorities and my life upside down. Maybe the biggest lesson was discovering I could not type-A muscle my way through yoga; I could not bend it to my will. Rather it bent and shaped me, making me softer and kinder. At some point I surrendered, and just like that, the crushing weight of doing, running, thinking, achieving, it all lifted. Being content, understanding enough, something shifted. And continues to do so, bit by peaceful bit. Today, I am not sure where I am headed. And yet, I have never been more certain that I am going in the right direction. Yoga lights the way.

Cheryl is a RYT Yoga Alliance certified teacher who began her yoga journey in 2005 in Baltimore while going through a transitional point in her life. In her practice she was able to surrender and find her true self. Through teaching, her goal is to bring positive change, breath, balance and light into other people's lives.

Always exprloring new avenues to get out of her mind and into her body has allowed her to gain an extensive understanding of body awareness and alignment. Cheryl also has a background in dance, aerial acrobatics, and was an NFL cheerleader. She takes her knowelge from all of her expriences and applies it to her students in the classroom.

Cheryl found her home at Yoga Path Palm Beach where she is able to help other students reach their full potential in mind, body, and spirit. "The Ultimate Reality is not to be sought in the changing things of external environment, but in one's own being." -Meher Baba

As a Florida native, I have always been outside, active, and connected to nature. I first sought yoga as a compliment to running and staying injury free. Soon, I fell in love with the movement and meditation! Later, noticing the muscular and toning benefits. Over the years, developing a consistent practice, yoga became even more; a beautiful way to clear and calm my mind of anxieties and chatter, learning more about myself and our connection as one… Starting my career at 18 as a hairdresser, I've been fortunate to have close contact with many, bringing them a feeling of beauty in their image. As I now have many inspirational yoga teachers, I find myself in love with the idea of sharing and helping others feel their best, beautiful, both on the inside and outside of their body. In a forever growing and changing universe, let's practice yoga, find our peace within, and spread the peace globally!

Yoga has changed my life and I am truly blessed to be able to share this experience with others!

I have been practicing for 7 years and began teaching Yoga in 2011, after a 200 hr YA course from Yoga South in Boca Raton, FL.

I believe we practice physical Asana to quiet the monkey mind, and thereby learn how to settle, go inward and discover our own personal truth. My intention is to bring this moving meditation into class and off the mat, combining movement and breath for a personal practice.

Your YOGA, your practice ~ enjoy the journey.

Yoga has been a life long journey for me. It all began around 2010 when I started practicing Bikram, and some gym yoga classes here and there but it wasn't until the beginning of 2016 that I found refuge in my practice.

Having gone through one of the most difficult times in my life, yoga gave me peace and most importantly a calm state of mind. Immediately, I knew I wanted more.

Soon after graduating college with my Associates in the Arts, I decided it was time to dive in deeper. I stumbled upon Yoga Path Palm Beach when looking for teacher training, and after taking a few vinyasa classes, I knew I was at home. I received my certification in early May 2016.

Currently, I practice Mysore, and during my free time, I love to play around with aerial silks at home. Alongside yoga, traveling is also one of my biggest passions and I hope to one day be able to merge the two. I'm a lover of art in all forms. I also really enjoy reading and find great fulfillment in learning new things.

The most important thing I've learned from my yoga practice is that yoga gives you what you need, both on and off the mat. Building strength, going with the flow, allowing vulnerability, just breathing, and finding balance are just a few of the optimal life lessons that yoga has gifted me. Yoga has showed me and continues to show me, parts of myself that I've kept hidden.... both the shadow and the light in me.

It is truly an honor to be able to share this gift of yoga with all of you. Namaste.
